OK. I have a guilty secret.
I like to eat chocolate. Before breakfast.
I thought it was just me. I mean, eating candy in the early morning isn't exactly a healthy habit. I didn't figure too many folks in my nutrition minded homeschool group would do such a thing.
But one time another Mom and I were talking about chocolate and she began telling me that she snuck candy bars before the kids got up. Then, the other day, I was chatting with yet another Mom and mentioned my AM indulgences. She said, "Tea and a chocolate truffle is the perfect treat first thing in the morning."
So, maybe there is an huge cohort of Moms nipping Hershey's just after they wake up.

Hi Melinda! I'm visiting from UBC again. This is a new one on me, and I love it! My morning indulgence is a quick connection with God and prayer. I just put the water in the coffeemaker, flick the switch, and lean on the sink edge, gazing out at the trees and praying. Now I'll consider adding chocolate! Thanks! --Kebba Buckley Button
ReplyDeleteMorning prayer is part of my routine, too. Thanks for visiting!
DeleteUBC I have never eaten candy before lunch. Now late at night is a different story.
ReplyDeleteChocolate is good just about any time of the day!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you there!
DeleteI love chocolate, but it doesn't love me in the mornings. I'm trying the "Special K" chocolate cereal, and so far, so good. :o)
ReplyDeleteHaven't tried that -- maybe I'll grab a box.
DeleteIt must be the sugar and caffeine. I don't "do" chocolate for breakfast, but I can understand why some of my friends might pop a Hershey's Kiss or two before the kids get up.
ReplyDeleteAnd the taste. Don't forget the taste.
